"THE ORIGINAL WILDLIFE WARRIOR."

"THE ORIGINAL WILDLIFE WARRIOR."

I have recently begun this blog to enhance the importance of our natural environment that we should all protect. The wonderful biodiversity in our world is vital for our lives on Earth. We must reach to the point of realizing that without our share, our little help in a brotherhood of mankind to protect our common home which is our world, we´ll only destroy ourselves being predators and become just nothing but dust in the Universe. I was going through my journals the other day when I found an article that I wrote at the time the original wildlife warrior passed away.
I won´t be able to keep on going talking about environment, if I don´t include a TRIBUTE TO STEVE IRWIN, THE ORIGINAL WILDLIFE WARRIOR. Here is the article that I´ve shared...
"The Original Wildlife Warrior." A Tribute to Steve Irwin.
October 4th, 2006. It has been one month, since Steve Irwin parted from this world. His wife, Terri and his two children, Bindy and Robert, and the whole world are still mourning.
We all miss him so much!! So, I would like to offer some words, as a Tribute to his memory.
Australia Zoo and Wildlife Warriors Worldwide are today in mourning for a beloved friend and respected leader. The global response to the loss of Steve Irwin, and the public outpouring of empathy we have received has been overwhelming, and a significant comfort to those of us who knew him. This is not just a LOSS for us, but FOR A PLANET, full of people who loved him so well, and for the world´s precious WILDLIFE that, he laid his life on the line to protect.
Irwin believed in promoting ENVIRONMENTALISM, by sharing his excitement about the NATURAL WORLD, rather than preaching to people. He was concerned with CONSERVATION of ENDANGERED ANIMALS, and land clearing leading to LOSS OF HABITAT. He considered Conservation to be the most important part of his work: "I consider myself a Wild-Life-Warrior. My mission is to Save the World´s Endangered Species." Irwin bought "large tracts of land" in Australia, Vanuatu, Fiji and the United States, which he described as "like National Parks", and stressed the importance of people realizing that, they could each make a difference. He founded the Steve Irwin Conservation Foundation, which was later renamed "WILDLIFE WARRIORS WORLDWIDE", and became an Independent Charity.
Steve Irwin was a true original; he brought energy and passion to everything he did. Whether it was performing groundbreaking crocodile research on board of his vessel "Croc One", filming Wildlife Documentaries, or simply celebrating his children´s birthdays, Steve didn´t do anything by half. A hard-core Wildlife Warrior and dedicated family man, Steve did for Conservation and Education, what no one had ever done before. He brought Wildlife Conservation right into people´s living-rooms, and created a whole New Generation of Wildlife Warriors.
The exceptional life Steve led is a TESTAMENT to his respect for all creatures great and small, and his passion for Wildlife was matched only, by his passion for family life. We here at Australia Zoo, offer our heartfelt thanks on behalf of the Irwin´s Family for your Condolences and kind words. Many people have expressed a desire to Donate to Wildlife Warriors Worldwide, in Memory of Steve Irwin. All Donations will be greatly appreciated, and applied directly to Saving Animals in the Wild.
